Hells Kitchen Marafa
Location: Malindi- Kilifi
This is a hidden gem locally known as Nyari, approximately 40 kms from Malindi town
This is an awesome spot for your kids to experience how mother nature naturally forms gorges and canyons through erosion. The landscape is rich with different coloured layers of stone and rocks-red, white, orange pink-just to mention a few. You also get to see the effects of sulphur on the vegetation and rocks in the George
The temperatures also rise as you descend and have been registered to hit 50 degrees during the hot seasons-hence the name Hells Kitchen!
Local folklore also has it that once upon a time, an arrogant and boastful rich man lived in the area with loads of children and livestock. But he angered the Gods who truck him down!
