Karura Forest
Location: Limuru Road
Karura Forest is a must family treat, especially if your kids love nature and playing outdoors. The forest has twisting walking, jogging or biking trails that will take your kids through tall trees filled with singing birds, a magical waterfall plus occasional sightings of squirrels, butterflies, dik-dik or monkeys in the bush!
The Forest also has awesome picnic grounds with tables and benches where the entire family can have an outdoor meal surrounded by nature. The green open grounds in the picnic area has kids playing area. Your kids will enjoy playing on the slide or fly a kite. The trees are also great for hide and go seek. Your kids can carry along their favourite ball or two for some soccer!
Karura forest also has amazing cycling trails that twist and turn under the tall indigenous trees-awesome!

– Karura Forest is a plastic-free zone. Non-reusable plastic bottles and food containers will not be allowed into the forest.
– Picnics are done on a strict booking basis. Bookings should be done by 6:00 PM the day before. A maximum of 15 people are allowed per picnic group.
